Hi guys!

I hope you all had excellent weekends. Mine was fantastic, the weather was amazing and I was able to squeeze in one last trip to the beach for the year. That being said, I think it’s no secret at this point that I am counting down the moments until it officially feels like fall.

I took the plunge last week and stocked up again on my favorite fall foundation from tarte! I also picked up a few other items that are new to me, but I’ve heard great reviews on:

  • tarte amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation – This 100% is my holy grail foundation. It has amazing full coverage with a beautiful matte finish. I use the shade fair-light honey which has peach undertones. Sadly, I don’t use this product in the summer because my skin tone changes so drastically (and unpredictably) in the sun.
  • tarte maracuja creaseless concealer – This is a brand new product to me, and I’m so excited to try it! It won an Allure Reader’s choice award this year, and Nikki Phillippi always speaks so highly of it. Also I’m essentially obsessed with tarte and trust absolutely everything from this brand.
  • tarte amazonian clay 12-hour blush in exposed – I LOVE this blush. I’m slowly but surely building up my collection of this product because it really just is amazing and has great staying power. The only other shade I have right now is Natural Beauty which I admittedly purchased because it was referred to as a “Snow White” blush. Exposed has been raved about by Estee (Essiebutton) and is completely different from any shade I own, so I just needed to have it.
  • tarte to go deluxe cheek stain in energy – This is a beautiful cheek stain stick. From tarte’s website: Impart a natural-looking flush that’s all your own with this deluxe cheek stain that’s formulated with skintuitive™ technology. This unique blush works with your skin’s natural pH to impart a customized shade of pink. I love this technology and have been obsessed since I purchased my LipSurgence skintuitive lip tint.

I’m so excited to work these products into my fall looks!

Hi everyone!

To me it just seems like the weekend is not complete without a trip to the drugstore (usualllyyy Target). However that could just be my crazy commuter self talking. I made a quick stop to Rite Aid today and just picked up a few things I’ve had my eye on for a while.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal Eyeshadow in Barely Branded: I’ve wanted to try this product for a very long time. I’m very excited for this because it’s unlike any color I have at the moment, a very pretty silvery sand.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Complex: I have Coquette in the glossy version, but I wanted a nude shade and a matte product, so this is a perfect fit!

Essie Nail polish in Butler Please: FINALLY. Literally, I cannot explain the hoops I have jumped through to get my hands on this color. I had essentially given up when my mother actually pointed it out to me on the display (that just shows how much I talk about this color). Essentially an unnamed beauty supply store tricked me by putting “Bouncer It’s Me” in a Butler Please spot on a shelf. I should have known since it was in the old packaging, but as you can see in the photo below these colors appear almost identical. This would have been fine if they actually looked the same on, but BIM is much more translucent than BP and requires many more coats and I honestly just don’t like it as much. (BP is on the right in the photo).

L’Oreal Lock It Bold Control Hairspray: I’ve never tried this product before, but I was in the market for a new hairspray (thank you New York humidity) so I thought I’d give this one a whirl.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: I purchased this a few years ago and had a really bad experience because the product leaked inside of the tube and never really worked that well, but I’ve heard such great reviews lately that I thought I’d give it a second chance!

That’s all for now! Enjoy the few short hours left of your weekends.
